in the backseat
not so long ago we took a spontaneous roadtrip to monterey. we drove the up the cliffy coast, we drove down through the dry, hot flatland. and as we traveled both directions, the conversations drifted toward a subject that seems to be the topic of the times. the topic that recently i encounter everytime i chat with a friend of the same gender and age. the topic being that of love, relationships, marriage, and children (or in my case pets). and as teal asked us questions of our ideal significant others, and weddings, and first dance songs, and names for offspring (or pets), we answered. i tried to answer carefully, precisely, for, i think i have a decent imagination. but i couldn't help but be distracted; when did we grow up?
