if only it were that obvious

(these two via jackie)
if there is one thing that you take away from this post, it won't be the fact that i got my bike shipped out to brooklyn (and therefore my life is even more dreamy), that the williamsburg waterfront at sunset may be one of the best spots this side of the east river- especially when basking in the sweet melodies of grizzly bear, that olea's sangria in fort greene is the best i've had outside of spain, that going to a free dan deacon concert in red hook is the closest you can get to joining a cult, that rooftop dinner parties in the warm summer night are the perfect way to spend an evening, or that picklebacks generally lead to picking noses, but you will be mindful of the simple lessons in body language, as explained by a second hand book:
"the sexual signals are clear as they lean towards each other. his legs are wide apart, exposing his genital area. her back is arched and her bottom is pushed out - it is a perfect example of primate sexual posturing"

shed your love

orcutt road, edna valley
my time on the central coast has run its course. although i have yet to grow completely restless of it's charm and loveliness, it is time to move along and to, ahem, expose myself to somewhere new. to stroll down new streets, perch on new porches, inhabit new coffee shops and bars, and lounge in new parks. san luis (and surrounding towns) i bid you adieu, and give you baci. grazie mille for the memories.

p.s. listening to a lot of grizzly bear and the complilation album, "dark was the night" courtesy of my main man, kyle w.
